So basically because there are still some people reading my old post about pcsx2, so i guess it’s better for me to rewrite it to reflect the new changes although actually there are almost next to no changes but since most people trying to use my sample configuration directly without adjusting it first, i think it’s better to write a new post that shows you directly on which plugins you should be using (note: this is intended for general purpose) But obviously, credits should be given to the for making such wonderful program available for free to anyone And so, let’s begin. – PCSX2 any version both stable or svn Personally i’d recommend you to use the svn version instead because usually it already fixes bugs that exists in stable build, although it may be buggy but as long as you have made a backup for all your save game (just in case something goes wrong).
Download the Android application package file (APK). FREE game and play now. Download LilyPad. Game Installation. Download and install the build to your Samsung Galaxy Note phone. Run the build, and insert into Gear VR when prompted. Play experience. ©2018 LilyPadGame. Made for Samsung Gear VR. PCSX 2 is a Playstation 2 emulator for PC. The compatibility rates for the emulator boast over 80% of all PS2 games as playable. If you own a reasonably powerful computer then PCSX 2 is a great emulator. The application also provides support for lower end computers as well, so all owners of Playstation 2.
Then you won’t have anything to worry about – Latest DirectX End User Runtime Download: This is needed obviously in order to use pcsx2 properly – PCSX2 Bios file (PS2 Bios) Obviously this is needed in order to play games on pcsx2 or else you won’t be able to use pcsx2. But because it’s illegal to put them here, feel free to use your favorite search engine to locate the file – Computer Hardware:. Processor: at least Dual Core processor (Intel Core 2 Duo or Athlon 64 X2). Graphic Card / VGA Card: at least Geforce 8600 (based on my test). RAM: at least 1GB If your computer doesn’t meet the above requirements (the hardware section) then chances are you’ll end up in a slow motion mode when playing games on pcsx2. PCSX2 Graphics Plugin There are 3 Graphics plugin included in my R2830 release, there are GSDX, ZeroGS, and ZzOGL. And i recommend you to use GSDX first and if it’s giving you problem on certain game you are free to switch it to another plugin.
Depending on your processor, if your processor support SSSE3 instruction then choose GSDX SSSE3, if your processor support SSE4.1 then choose it instead. But in my case because my Phenom Quad Core CPU only support SSE2 instruction, then of course i can only choose GSDX SSE2 Note: The easiest way to see what features your cpu has, you can look at the PCSX2 Output Window, for example mine is: Detected MMX Detected SSE Detected SSE2 Detected SSE3 Not Detected SSSE3 Not Detected SSE4.1 Not Detected SSE4.2 That means i can’t use SSSE3, and SSE4.1 version of the GSDX plugin PCSX2 Sound Plugin There are two options for you to choose, the first one and also the recommended sound plugin is SPU2–X, while the other one is ZeroSPU2.
If for example when you play certain game using SPU2–X and get no sound at all or hangs, then try switching to ZeroSPU2 (for example, when i play Wild Arms 5 using SPU2–X as the sound plugin, i can’t get past the menu screen, and after switching to ZeroSPU2, the problem is fixed but of course i tested this on earlier version of SPU2–X so the result might be differ now) PCSX2 Controller Plugin Here you can choose between two plugins, Lilypad and SSSXPad (the other two not listed does nothing). And i recommend you to choose Lilypad because of the features (i’m using XBOX 360 Controller both wired and wireless without problem using Lilypad). Here’s what my configuration looks like But of course you can always use your keyboard as controller on pcsx2 if you don’t own a joystick, you are free to choose between SSSXPad and Lilypad PCSX2 CDVD Plugin There are three options for you to choose in this section, cDVDGigahertz, Linuz ISO CDVD, CDVDolio (the other one not listed does nothing). If you have virtual cd program installed then i recommend you to choose between cDVDGigaherts or CDVDolio (i choose CDVDolio) but if you don’t have virtual cd installed and don’t want to install it then you can use Linuz ISO CDVD Plugin, so you can run iso directly from PCSX2 but of course PCSX2 also offer that feature directly so you can choose between using plugin or directly running iso from pcsx2. Basically if you ask me on how to run iso file on pcsx2 (.nrg,.iso,.bin,.mds), the answer is you can use the PCSX2 SVN Version included in this post (if you don’t want to use ISO Plugin, although i’m not going to ask you why), or if you feel like using PCSX2 0.9.6 then you need to use the linuz iso cdvd plugin that way you can run ps2 games from disk In my case since i have virtual cd installed, i choose CDVDolio, and here’s what it looks like Finally. That’s it basically and you’re done, try testing ps2 games on pcsx2 straight away and see if you can run it or not.
But what if your games run slow? Or the games you’re trying to run not running at all?
Are the game controls driving you crazy on your PCSX2 PlayStation 2 emulator? Do you hate it when you're in a game, and your character jumps when you press the circle or 'B', or maybe 'L'? We grew up jumping with 'X', 'A', or the space bar; but on a Windows computer keyboard that's all different. Thankfully, the PCSX2 PlayStation Two emulator supports custom input. That means you can remap controls to whatever works best for you.
In the tutorial below, we'll be showing you how to build your own custom controls. We'll help you with every step and make sure you're able to get exactly the game controls you need to make it through Metroid or Street Fighter. Read on to learn how to set up your own custom controls for your PS2 Emulator. First, let's configure the keyboard API. You'll see the red box in the image below, where we will select our keyboard configuration type.
If you're using a keyboard to play your PlayStation 2 games, you need to choose from one of these three options. Newer operating systems like Windows 10 will require you to choose 'Windows messaging'. Older operating systems like Windows XP will need 'Raw input' selected. Those of you using a custom keyboard or third-party device will need to select 'DirectInput'. If you are using a gamepad, a joystick or a controller, you need to choose 'Game Device APIs' from the settings menu. If you have a generic controller, just tick 'DirectInput'.
Those of you using an Xbox 360 controller will need to select 'Xinput'. If you're using a PlayStation 3 controller and have already installed all the drivers, then the 'DualShock 3 native mode' will be available; and you will need to tick it. You can also tick 'Monitor when in the background', which will let you press any key on the gamepad when the emulator is minimized but still let the game receive the input. We'll show you how to set up one button and let you set the rest to your preferences. Let's start by setting up one now. On the right side of the window, press the PlayStation button.
In this case, we're going to press 'Cross'. Once this is done, you need to press the corresponding button on the input device that you wish to use; and your entry will appear on the left side. You can choose this entry by clicking it and then configuring the sensitivity or dead zones. In our case, we are using the keyboard; and keyboards don't have dead zones. If you're using an analog controller, you might need to configure dead zones. My RIGHT ANALOG and the Main Buttons like X, O, etc.
Are the same? Hello there, I've been reading the controller configuration guides, and I still can't find an answer to my problem. It works like this. I configure my controller, but for some reason, the right analog stick gets bound to the main buttons(circle, square, etc.). So for example, when playing Final Fantasy where the triangle key is the menu button, pressing up on the right analog will open the menu.
This is pretty infuriating as in some games that stick is needed to move the camera. I tried monkeying around with lock input, direction, etc., but nothing seems to stop this multiple button/stick binding. This section is not written yet.

I am playing a game that is easier to play with a controller that has a joystick like the PS2 controller (gta vice city) but I don't have the money to get a USB PS2 controller and am stuck using my keyboard. I can play it that way but it would be easier of I could use my mouse as a joy stick for things like looking around. This isn't touched on anywhere in the article at all in fact the only part that involve doing something with the mouse is how to further dis engage it. I have tried: I have been playing around in the controller config tab and see there is an option to set the mouse for curtain things but I haven't been able to figure out how to implement it. I think it was caused by: I don't think its a problem with the program itself just that I can't figure it out (I only included this problem part cause VisiHow made me).
